Givebutter offers both Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage. All employees are automatically covered under our Short-Term Disability policy upon the effective date of their employment. Employees have 30 days from the start of their employment to 'opt-in' to our Long-Term Disability policy.
All employees are eligible for coverage of 60% of their salary up to $1,500 per week.
Elimination Period - 7 Days
The elimination period is the amount of time an employee must be sick or injured before becoming eligible to apply for short-term disability.
Maximum Benefit Period - 26 Weeks
The maximum amount of time short-term disability will cover is 26 weeks. Any injury or sickness that requires disability beyond 26 weeks (or 180 days) will qualify for long-term disability coverage.
Employees who elect to take part in Long-Term Disability coverage and eligible for coverage of 60% of their annual salary up to $5,000 per month.
Elimination Period - The greater of the Short-Term Disability Maximum Benefit or 180 Days.
The elimination period is the amount of time an employee must be sick or injured before becoming eligible to apply for long-term disability.
Maximum Benefit Period - Your normal retirement age.
The maximum benefit period is subject to change based on your age. Employees under 60 years old are eligible until 65, and over 60 for a finite period of time.
