These have been our guiding principles since the inception of our company. Our goal is to create the best product for all people to give better.
To do this well we will strive to build, maintain, and support a community that looks different, thinks different, and has different life experiences. Additionally, we pledge to always encourage and celebrate the diverse voices and backgrounds of the employees that call Givebutter home. We are committed to doing our part in building a more inclusive environment.

- We post on job boards that serve historically marginalized people such as: Diversity Jobs, InHerSight, Diversity for Social Impact, Black Tech Pipeline, and the Mom Project.
- We monitor and share progress of diversity initiatives by tracking Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) data..
- We require annual trainings for all staff on diversity and managing biases.
- We highlight campaigns and success stories from diverse users in our content creation.
- We plan internal and external programs that feature diverse voices.
🤝 Equity at Givebutter means…
- All candidates, whether internal or external, follow the same interview process.
- We do not rely on AI automation to auto-reject applicants in our ATS. All applicants are screened by our People team and the hiring committee.
- An average of 10 people are required to review candidates throughout the hiring process to avoid silos in decision-making.
- Our Givebutter Employee Handbook is intentionally written to be easily read and free of legal jargon, and we share it with candidates during the interview process.
