🍞 Bread Winners

At Givebutter, we shout our teammates out for instances in which they exemplified our Values (see Mission, Vision, Values, Ethos)and Leadership Principles. . The shout-outs, called Bread Winners, live in our #Bread-Winners channel in Slack and follow a standard template (see below). Bread Winners are read aloud at the end of our weekly All-Hands meetings.

Who is this for? What Value did they embody? What Leadership Principle did they embody? How did they exhibit this value?

👋 Weekly All-Hands

Our People team hosts a Weekly All-Hands highlighting everything from upcoming birthday’s and anniversary’s to customer spotlights. This is often a place for teams to show and tell or highlight adventures from their recent offsites. We start every All-Hands with a song, yes we have a DJ Request Line, and end with reading a ‘Bread Winner’ of the week.

🍞 Toast Time

We host a weekly ‘water cooler huddle’ in our #people-culture channel in :slack: Slack. This is a great place to catch up with colleagues you might not see often, welcome new hires, and celebrate shared wins.

🥳 Social Committee

• The Social Committee plans and executes all-company social events throughout the year. Past events have included Skribbl.io competitions, guided Black History Month tours, speakers, and casual hangouts. Generally, a larger event is planned once a quarter.
• The Social Committee also welcomes each and every new Butterslices by setting up team events so they can get to know the members of their department.
